Narrative Description of Project:
GoAscendal has entered into a contract, dated 19 May 2022, (“the Principal Contract”) with World Bank Group (“the Client”) with respect to Urban Transport Mapping in Secondary Cities in Pakistan (Contract 7205089). The primary objective of the consultancy is to collect data and information in Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala cities/areas on: (a) the geographic layout of the transit network; (b) intercept surveys to understand the mobility needs, barriers, and employment status of women and men and other demographic information (250 respondents per city).
GoAscendal and the Subcontractor have agreed certain activities and performance of deliverable (“the Agreement”) that the Subcontractor shall perform a portion of the work required to be performed by GoAscendal under the Principal Contract.
Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff within the Assignment:
Following are the major actual services provided:
• Existing Public Transport Mapping using GO Metro Pro App.
• Training Sessions to Field Enumerators to conduct the survey.
• Identification of informal PT terminals and existing modes.
• Identification of existing lines and frequency, including informal modes.
• Verification of PT modes for their actual alignment and characteristics with the help of
• GoMetro Pro app.
• Identification of stopping areas for all PT Modes.
• Intercept Surveys through Roadside interview is all 3 cities.
