Narrative Description of Project:

PTQ Expressway is an elevated four lane dual carriageway expressway and an Access-Controlled facility designed for high-speed traffic. It will start at the Jam Sadiq Bridge on Korangi Road, right at the terminal point of the existing Shahrah-e-Bhutto and travel along key urban corridors in Clifton neighbourhood at an elevated level till its two terminal points i.e. at Karachi Port and at SAPT. The alignment includes five ‘5’ intermediate interchanges along the expressway. The tentative measured length of the expressway is 16.50 km. The PTQ Expressway is being developed by the LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF SINDH (the GoS).

Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff within the Assignment:

Review / approving / certifying of detailed designs (including road works, bridges and interchanges), drawings, all the activities associated with the construction works to ensure compliance with the technical requirements, progress monitoring, and affirmation of all certification done by the Concessionaire.

Reviewing the Traffic Forecast Study prepared & submitted by the Concessionaire at Bidding Stage and offer comments and technical due diligence.

Supervise that the requirement of this Agreement and its various appendices, other than mentioned for Independent Auditor of the Project, are met by the Concessionaire and in case of any discrepancy / deviations and shall inform GoS and the Concessionaire.

The responsibility of the Independent Engineer during various phases of design review, construction and operation and maintenance.
