Narrative Description of Project:

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has been funding Government of Pakistan for development of Master Plan for exploitation of livestock sector in the country. As this sector has a great potential for development. JICA has always been interested in finding possible investment opportunities for Japanese companies in Pakistan. The project focus was on developing a master plan to develop various GIS layers for better planning of livestocks, dairy facilities, fodder availability, and result analysis to eventually develop an effective master plan of livestock management system .

Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff within the Assignment:

Exponent Engineers has been involved in developing GIS maps for the project. Following services provided by EE for the project:
  1. Developing Base Map for GIS developing
  2. Developing GIS based thematic layers on following themes:
    • Animal Population Attributes
    • Animal Facility Attributes
    • Animal Fodder Attributes
    • Livestock Infrastructure Inventory Attributes
    • Socioeconomic Attributes
